Description
Massager: TENS machine
Portable massager with TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator) technology helps you to alleviate your muscular and joint pain symptoms, drug-free
Based on TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator) technology , the massager helps to:
- alleviate muscle and joint pain
- block the pain message
- stimulate the release of endorphins (=natural pain killers)
- improve the blood circulation (as result of repeated muscle contraction and muscle relaxation)

What Conditions are TENS Machines Used For?
TENS machines are most commonly used to treat pain for conditions like:
- Back pain (lower and upper)
- Shoulder pain
- Muscle tension
- Tendonitis
- Sports injuries
- Knee, elbow and joint pain
- Osteoarthritis
- Fibromyalgia
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- arthritis
- Nerve pain
How it works
Electrical signals are sent through ‘electrode pads’ to specific points on the body. This causes the muscles to react.
As a result, followings happen:
- Muscle pumping action:
By applying low-frequency electrical waves to a body area with stiffness/tiredness, muscles contract and extend -relax.
Muscle contracts: blood containing ‘waste’ is flushed out
Muscle relaxes: fresh blood rushes in
By this repeated ‘muscle pumping’ process, blood flow improves. As a result, for example, shoulder stiffness, tired legs and cramps will be relieved
- Blocks pain signals:
By applying low-frequency signals to the painful area, the nerves near this area are stimulated, which affects the pain-transmission mechanism (‘inhibits’ pain messages) towards spinal cord. These have relatively short effect.
Electrical waves also stimulate the human body to produce natural Morphine-like substances (endorphins). These have a much longer effect (5 ~ 12 hrs). As a result, for example, the sense of pain will be relieved.
Tips
-
- Read the following tips and the operating manual well before use including maintenance and care
-
- Choose the massage mode by pressing “M” and always press ” – (minus button)” to start the session. By doing so, you can gradually increase the strength by pressing ” + (plus) ” button
-
- For joint and nerve pain, especially for wrist pain, we recommend “2 Acupuncture” setting for 5min to start with. Place both pads either side of the joint. Make sure that one pad is on the muscle , for example, one pad is on a palm, and the other on a forearm
-
- Always use two pads (one channel) or four pads (two channels) at the same time
-
- The pads should never touch each other and should be at least, 2.5cm apart and if you need more distance between pads, you can gently pull apart the pad wires to split further
-
- It is advisable not to place the pads directly over a joint such as the knee, elbow or ankle as its movement can alter the adherence of the pad
-
- Do not exceed 20min, 3times a day.
-
- When the pain overlaps a joint (e.g. elbow pain), place each pad on the muscle or soft tissue just above and below the joint in a horizontal and parallel direction (see the picture below)
-
- For a smaller area, , for example – calf pain, place pads in parallel on each side of the pain (see the picture below)
-
- For a wider area, for example – between your shoulders below the neck, place the pads to the left and right side of your spine in a vertical direction
4 Electrode Pads Placement Examples
use both ports (2 lines)

2 Electrode Pads Placement Examples
use only 1 port (1 line)
